This was the first year that students from all 7 Muktangan schools have sat the secondary school certificate examinations - and what a magnificent set of results they achieved!
99.5% of the 222 Muktangan students who sat the examination passed (in contrast to the average passmark of 86.4% across Maharashtra state).
Not only that, but 78% of Muktangan students secured a First Class - soaring past the 53% of students across Maharashtra state who were awarded this top mark.
A particular well done goes to Ms Rosa Ambati - who was top performing Muktangan student with an outstanding score of 96.8% - and to Ms Mamta Jalgaonkar who achieved an extremely impressive 94.8%.
Academic success is only one component of the holistic, child-centred education that Muktangan provides. But these results are testament to the effectiveness of the model, the dedication of the Muktangan staff, and the hard work of the students.
