Elizabeth Mehta, Founder-Director of Muktangan, was appointed a ‘Member of the most Excellent Order of the British Empire’ (MBE) in the Queen’s Birthday 2015 Honour List, for her services to education in India.
Whilst Liz has insisted that this outstanding achievement is shared with the students and teachers of Muktangan, there is no doubt that the MBE provides a much-deserved recognition of the vision, commitment and inspiration that Liz has herself provided to Muktangan.
